All Wonderfold kittens come with the following:

Vaccinations:  Every kitten receives 4 vaccines while in our care - 3 FVRCP vaccines and one Rabies vaccine. The FVRCP vaccine is commonly referred to as respiratory vaccine this vaccine is effective against, Feline Herpes Virus, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia.

Altered:  All of our kittens are spayed or neutered before going to their new homes.

Microchipped:  Our kittens are microchipped at the time of their spay or neuter procedure.  The kittens are implanted with a Home Again microchip that has new owners contact information as well as our information as a secondary contact.

Registration:  All of our kittens are registered through The International Cat Association TICA  Every kitten comes with a certificate of registration.

Health Certificate:  Within a week of kittens going to their new homes they are examined one last time by our veterinarian.  After examination a certificate is issued stating that the kitten is found to be in good health.

Health Guarantee:  Our kittens come with a 3yr health guarantee that covers hereditary and congenital disease.

LifeTime Support: We stand by our kittens, and are here for you and your kitten for its entire lifetime.  Whatever questions or problems you encounter big or small, whether your kitten is a new family member or 16 years old, we are here to help you navigate it.

Breeding Cat Screening Tests

Genetic Testing: All of our breeding cats have been genetically tested for PKD 1 and are negative for the disease causing gene.  In addition our Scottish Folds have been genetically tested to verify they only have one copy of the fold gene and that our Scottish Straights do not have any copies of the fold gene.  This genetic testing is done though UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory.

Cardiac Testing: Every year we have our breeding cats screened for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) via echocardiogram, starting at 10 months to 1 year old. This gives us an inside look at the heart while taking precise measurements of the heart muscles, looking for any signs of disease.

Skeletal Testing: Starting at a year old our Scottish Folds are radiographed to look for any signs of osteochondrodysplasia(OCD). All Scottish Folds have the mutant gene that causes the ears to fold and possibility to develop other bone and joint disease. (Scottish Straights do not have gene that causes the ears to fold and OCD.) Our breeding folds are screened for OCD to reduce the prevalence of disease in the breed.  All folds and straights are screened for hip dysplasia.  If interested in a Scottish Fold please read our article titled What is osteochondrodysplasia and what does it mean for my Scottish Fold?

Veterinary Exams:  All of our cats are examined by our veterinarian at least once a year and are kept up to date on routine care like vaccines and parasite control.  Before breeding our females undergo a thorough exam along with blood work to ensure that they are as healthy as they appear and are in good condition suitable for pregnancy.
